Control whether users can create content (including comments) via email. You can control this functionality for the entire digital workplace or by channel.

Considerations
- Channels that support content creation via email: You can configure the following channels to allow users to post content via email:
Manage content creation via email in your digital workplace
Enterprise and workplace administrators can toggle whether users in your digital workplace can send in content via email.
- On the Userbar, select Control Panel.
- Under Settings, select Global Settings.
- In the Email Content section, select Enable content creation via email to allow users to email content into channels. Deselect this option to prevent users from emailing content into channels.
- (Optional) If content creation via email is turned on, select which channel types have default email addresses. See the Manage which channel types have default email addresses section below.
- Select Save.
Manage which channel types have default email addresses
When emailing content is turned on, you can configure which channel types support having a default email address. When turned on, your digital workplace automatically creates email addresses for channels of the corresponding type. Channels will default to this email address if no other email address has been configured for them. When turned off, channels of that type must have an email address manually configured for them before they can receive content via email.
Enterprise and workplace administrators can manage which channel types have default email addresses.
- On the Userbar, select Control Panel.
- Under Settings, select Global Settings.
- In the Email Content section, select which channel types will have default email addresses.
- Select Save.
Configure the email address of a channel
When emailing content is turned on, you can configure a channel to use a default email address or a specific email address or not to support emailed content at all. Users who have access to add content to a channel can use a channel's email address to do so via email.
Enterprise, workplace, and space administrators, as well as members of the digital workplace with Edit or Full access, can configure a channel's email address.
- Go to the channel you want to configure.
- Select Actions and then Settings.
- Under Email Content, select one of the following options:
- Use default email address provided
- Use a custom email address: Enter a custom email address in the provided text box.
- Do not allow posted content to this channel via email
- Select Save.
