You can set content for blogs, wikis, and forums to publish at a future date. The future publishing process allows you to craft content ahead of any due dates and ensure it gets published on time. Publishing content on the scheduled date triggers channel subscription notifications.

Considerations
- Content created by email: Content created by email cannot be set to publish at a future date.
- Search: Scheduled content does not appear in the search results until after the scheduled date; this includes features that use search, such as related content and the Call to Action widget's search.
Who can do this?
- Enterprise administrators
- Workplace administrators
- Space administrators
- Members of the digital workplace with Write, Edit or Full access
Schedule content
By default, selecting Publish during content creation publishes the content immediately.
By configuring the Future publishing section during content creation, you can publish the content at a scheduled date and time. You can find the Future publishing section below the WYSIWYG editor in the Publish Settings area.
By default, the Publish time field is configured to your digital workplace's time zone and indicates the time and time zone at which to publish the content. However, you can change the Timezone field to select an alternative time zone to tailor your content publishing to digital workplace members in different time zones.
Drafted content
If you have scheduled content that is currently a draft, you must publish it for it to be posted at the desired time. A warning message will appear above the scheduled draft content prompting you to select Publish when your draft is ready.
Or, if you are publishing to a channel that requires moderation, you must send your draft to the channel's moderation team by selecting Send to Moderator.
When viewing a draft that is scheduled to be published at a future date, the scheduled publishing time is shown above the changelog.
Scheduled content on moderated channels
Content publishing on a moderated channel is dependent on moderator approval. You can find content awaiting approval on the In Review tab of a channel's Manage page. For content to leave the review process, a moderator must publish the content. Approved content with a publish date is then placed in the Unpublished tab of the channel's Manage page until its publication date. Approving scheduled content after its publish date publishes the content immediately.
Edit scheduled content
Only users who have Edit access or higher to a channel or authors who have Edit access or higher to the content they create can access scheduled content. Access rules added to scheduled content are only applied after the content is published.
You can edit scheduled content before its publication date. While on its channel:
- Select Actions, then Manage.
- Select the Unpublished tab to view a list of all unpublished content on the channel.
Until its publishing, scheduled content has the following message in its body:
While viewing scheduled content, select Actions followed by Edit. You can then modify the content and any of its settings.
