Deleting attachments

You can remove attached files from content. The deleted attachment cannot be recovered.

Considerations

  • Trash Can: Deleted attachments don't go to the Trash Can when deleted and are unrecoverable. However, deleted content with attachments will keep its attachments when recovered.

Who can do this?

  • Enterprise administrators
  • Workplace administrators
  • Space administrators
  • Members of the digital workplace with Full access

Delete attachments

If the attachment is on a blog article, calendar event, forum topic, or wiki article:

Attachment on a blog article.

  1. Go to the content that has the attachment.
  2. Select  Actions and select Edit.
  3. Scroll down to the Attachments section.
  4. Next to the attachment, select Remove.
  5. Select Ok to confirm.
  6. Select Save Changes.

If that attachment is on a comment, forum reply, or microblog post

  1. Go to the content that has the attachment.
  2. Select the attachment to open its preview.
  3. Select Link.
  4. Copy the link URL.
  5. Paste the copied URL into your browser and remove /download.

  6. Navigate to this modified URL.
  7. Select Actions and select Delete.
  8. Select Ok.
