Deleting attachments

Remove attached files from content. The deleted file cannot be recovered.

  • Workplace administrators
  • Enterprise administrators
  • Space administrators (if the content is in their Space)
  • Members who have at least Full Access to the content

Trash Can

Deleted attachments don't go to the Trash Can when deleted and are unrecoverable. However, deleted content with attachments will keep its attachments when recovered.

How to delete attachments

If the attachment is on a blog post, calendar event, forum topic, or wiki article

Deleting an attachment from the Edit page.

  1. Go to the content that has the attachment.
  2. Select  Actions and select Edit.
  3. Scroll down to the Attachments section.
  4. Next to the attachment, select Remove.
  5. Select Ok to confirm.
  6. Select Save Changes to apply your change to the content.

If that attachment is on a comment, Forum reply, or Microblog post

  1. Go to the content that has the attachment.
  2. Select the attachment to open its preview.
  3. Select Link.
  4. Copy the link URL.
  5. Paste the copied URL into your browser and remove /download.

  6. Navigate to this modified URL.
  7. Select Actions and select Delete.
  8. Select Ok to confirm.
