Changing a channel's URL

When you first create a channel, its URL will match the title that you've given it. To change the URL of any existing channel, follow the steps described in this article. While making this change, if you want to keep the channel's title similar to the URL, you can also update the title while following these steps.

Change a channel's URL

The workflow for changing a channel's URL depends on the type of administrator: 

Enterprise and workplace administrators can change a channel's URL by following these steps:

  1. Select  Control Panel.
  2. Under Presentation, select Site Manager.
  3. Find the channel you want to make changes to.
  4. Select the dropdown button next to the channel followed by Quick Edit.
  5. (Optional) To add a title, select the language from the dropdown you want to enter a new title. In the Title text box, enter a new title for the channel.
  6. In the URL Identifier text box, enter the new URL for the channel.
  7. Select Save to apply this change.

Space administrators can change a channel's URL by following these steps:  

  1. Go to the space.
  2. On the space's navigation bar, select  Administration followed by Navigation.
  3. Find the channel you want to make changes to.
  4. Select the dropdown button next to the channel followed by Quick Edit.
  5. (Optional) To add a title, select the language from the dropdown you want to enter a new title. In the Title text box, enter a new title for the channel.
  6. In the URL Identifier text box, enter the new URL for the channel.
  7. Select Save to apply this change.
