Remove the ability for users to post new comments on content by turning commenting off at the channel level or for an individual piece of content.
Note:
When comments are turned off on content, users with Edit or lower access will not see the Comments tab at all.
Users with Edit access or above, space administrators (in their own Space), or workplace administrators will see the Comments tab with the message "Sorry, comments are closed. " below any pre-existing comments.

Turn comments off at the channel level
You can configure a channel so that comments are turned off for all new content in the channel. You must have at least Edit access to the channel to configure this behavior.
To turn off comments for the channel:
- Navigate to the channel.
- Select Actions, followed by Settings.
- In the Comments section, select Disable comments for content in this channel by default.
- Select Save.
This setting does not prevent authors from turning commenting on for specific content and does not change the state of comments on existing content.
Turn comments off for individual pieces of content
Comments can be turned off before and after publishing content. For published content, you can use the Options menu when viewing the content or edit the content to turn comments off.
Turn comments off before publishing content
You can turn comments off before publishing when creating a new Blog article, Calendar event, File, or Wiki article. To do so:
- In the Comments section, uncheck Allow members to post comments to turn off comments. To turn comments on, check this option.
- Continue with the regular content creation process.
Turn comments off for published content using the Options menu
You can turn off comments after it is published by using the Options menu when viewing the Comments section in the content:
- Navigate to the content.
- In the Comments section, select Options above the comment's WYSIWYG editor and select Disable comments. To turn comments on, select Enable comments.
Turn comments off by editing the content
You can turn off comments after it is published by editing the content:
- Navigate to the content.
- Select Actions, followed by Edit.
- In the Comments section, uncheck Allow members to post comments to turn comments off. To turn comments on, check this option.
- Select Save Changes to apply this change.
