An nslookup will tell you the IP address and other DNS information about websites you are trying to access. It can be useful information when troubleshooting connection issues.
How to perform an nslookup on a PC
- Open the Start menu in windows.
- Type cmd and then press the OK button to open a command prompt.
- At the prompt, type nslookup yourdomain.com and press the Enter key.
How to perform an nslookup on a Mac
- Open the Finder.
- Under applications -> Utilities open Terminal.app.
- At the prompt, type nslookup yourdomain.com and press the Enter key.
