Igloo Mobile Branded Edition: Branding

While working with Igloo to deploy the Igloo Mobile Branded Edition application, you will be asked to provide information about the:

  • App Icon
  • App Name
  • Default URL
  • Branding Color

This article outlines what information is required and provides tips for additional things you should consider.

Where each design asset is used in the app.

App Icon

You must provide a 1024px x 1024px icon in vector format (AI or EPS). Do not give this image a transparent background.

This is used for splash screen image, URL screen image, and app on the phone.

Consider the following when designing this icon:

  • Simpler is better
  • Align to the marketing and branding conventions of your organization
  • Make sure that there is internal agreement and the required internal sign-offs are in place

App Name

You must provide the name of the application.

This name is used for the app and is also used as a unique identifier when building the application.

Consider the following when picking a name:

  • Align to the marketing and branding conventions of your organization
  • Use the identity of your digital workplace in the name
  • Make sure that there is internal agreement and the required internal sign-offs are in place

Default URL

You must provide the URL of the digital workplace that the app connects to.

Consider the following when selecting a URL:

  • Make sure approval is in place to set URL address as the default location

Branding Color

You must provide hex codes for the background color and font color.

These colors are applied to buttons and link text.

Consider the following when selecting these colors:

  • Use the same dominant color as the app icon
  • Align to the marketing and branding conventions of your organization
  • Make sure that there is internal agreement and the required internal sign-offs are in place

Providing this information to Igloo

The requirements described above will be used in the creation of the Igloo Mobile Branded Edition application. An Igloo Project Manager will manage the collection of information from you. The steps and timeline to complete the work and make sure each is in place will be detailed in a statement of work.
