Images and profile pictures are not displayed when viewing email notifications from your digital workplace.
Cause: Microsoft Outlook does not recognize the workplace's domain as safe
Resolve by adding your workplace's email domain to Microsoft Outlook's "Safe Senders" list
Outlook for Mac users does not have this option available. From within Microsoft Outlook for Windows:
- Select Home, then Junk, and finally Junk Email Options.
- On the Safe Senders tab, select Add, and enter the domain from which your digital workplace emails come.
- Select Ok.
- Select Apply.
Resolve for all users using a Group Policy (GPO) or Azure Powershell applet
For Group Policy, see Microsoft's documentation on How to deploy junk email settings, such as the Safe Senders list, by using Group Policy.
For Azure Powershell Applet, see Microsoft's documentation on Set-MailboxJunkEmailConfiguration.
Cause: Blog content feature images are not displayed due to access token issues
Resolve by ensuring troubleshooting in the appropriate time frame
Each feature image is only accessible via a secure access token valid only for 30 days to enhance security. Once expired, the images will no longer display. Please troubleshoot any issues with feature images during those 30 days.
Resolve by adjusting caching policies
If email servers or clients cache email content, cached images may become inaccessible after the token expires. Administrators may need to adjust caching policies to accommodate these tokenized images and ensure they display correctly within the token validity period.
Cause: Embedded images cause spam flagging
Resolve by monitoring email filters
Some email systems may assign higher spam scores to emails with embedded images, potentially flagging or blocking these notifications. Administrators should monitor email filters to prevent legitimate notifications from being marked as spam.
