Considerations

  • Default behavior: By default, channels will adopt the label requirements set on the digital workplace's Manage Labels or Global Settings pages. Enterprise administrators, workplace administrators, and members of groups with the Manage Labels role can change this setting. However, channels can be set to function independently of this broader digital workplace setting. To change the setting:

    1. Select  Control Panel.
    2. Under Settings, select Manage Labels.
    3. Under Label Settings, select the checkbox beside Make labels mandatory for all published content throughout the site.
  • Posting content by email: Emailing content into a channel ignores any labeling requirement. See Adding Content via email.
  • Supported content types: You can apply labels to the following content types:

Who can do this?

  • Enterprise administrators
  • Workplace administrators
  • Space administrators
  • Members of the digital workplace with Edit or Full access
