Second-level Drop-down enhancement

The Second Level Dropdown enhancement allows all second-level navigation options to display an additional dropdown of third-level navigation options. These navigation options are only visible to members who have access to them. Hidden locations are not visible.

Considerations

  • Visibility: This enhancement is only visible in a menu when the parent item has been set to show menu items with dropdowns. 
  • Page load: The additional navigation level is only accessible once a page has completely loaded.
  • Slowness: It can cause slowness in large digital workplaces.
  • Anonymous users: The enhancement is not visible to anonymous users (users who have not signed in to your digital workplace).

Set up the enhancement

To turn the enhancement on for the first time, follow the steps below. To request this enhancement to be set up in your digital workplace, contact our Igloo team.

Add enhancement code to the header

Add the following code to the header of your digital workplace:

There are no configuration options for this enhancement. 

Turn the enhancement on

Once the code has been placed, the enhancement is ready to be used.  If you have already turned the enhancement off following the steps in the Turn the enhancement off section below, you can remove <!-- before and  --> after the middle two lines and save the changes to the header.

To turn the enhancement off, you can remove the code entirely or add <!-- before and  --> after the middle two lines, as shown below, and save the changes to the header.
