Forums - Configuration
On the forums page press the Action Button to access the following menu options:

The type of posts allowed on this particular forum instance can be enabled/disabled as indicated below (Fig. 1.2)

The forum can be locked preventing new posts from being created, but the user will be asked if they wish to lock all the existing threads as well, allowing users to still read them. (Fig 1.3)

Here you can configure options related to search engine optimization, such as Page Title, Meta Description, and Meta Keywords (Fig. 1.4) In addition, you may configure the following search engine robot parameters:

Use Google's Keyword Tool to help you generate proper keywords for your web page.

In this section you will see a history of Drafts, Published and Unpublished forum posts.
This area is particularly useful if the forum is being moderated. For information on how moderation works, and how to configure it, please read the following support documentation: Moderation

Subscriptions allow the administrator to configure automatic content following options for users of the forum, on a Group or Role basis.

A default template for all new forum posts can be created and applied here (Fig. 1.6)

- By default, the Search Box is set to display for the forum. Toggle this setting to No to hide it.

After enabling a forum topics widget (Fig. 2.1,) you may customize the Layout, Appearance, and various Options specific to the functionality of this Widget on your Igloo community.

The user can determine which forum data ( Source(s): ) to display inside the widget, in an Igloo environment with multiple forums configured (Fig. 2.2)
If Filter Options in Layout (Fig. 2.3) are disabled, then use Include under Options to set which type of forum posts to display in the widget.

Customize Your Layout will allow you to display extra properties of a forum post beyond the subject and who it was posted by (Fig. 2.3)
In addition you may opt to enable Pinned items to display in the widget.

The general appearance of a widget's elements can be configured on the Appearance tab. It provides a graphical interface to alter basic CSS elements. For more information, please refer to our general documentation regarding Widgets
Create a forum post through email
An Igloo forum has an email address associated with it that is either auto-generated, or you may create one with a custom username for ease of use.
Adding the email address into a desktop or smartphone as a contact, and then sending an email to it will create a forum post.
