A great new release is now available to all communities. This release focuses heavily on enhancing the collaboration features of the IGLOO Platform. Group Spaces provide a great way to communicate and share information with projects, teams or groups in your community.
Group Spaces. Our new Group Space functionality makes it easier and more productive to collaborate with others in your community. Group Spaces will provide dedicated, segmented areas of the community which can be used for projects, work groups, departments, teams, special interest groups and more.
Each Group Space will have a flexible homepage which you can fully customize with any of our drag-and-drop widgets. This can help you create a Group Space dashboard so that you can quickly and easily see what's going on inside your team or project. In additional to your homepage, you can also add applications, including Blogs, Calendar, Documents, Forums, Gallery and Wiki, into your Group Space to facilitate communication and information sharing.
Group Spaces will have their own unique sub-navigation, allowing you and your team members to traverse the documents, blogs, events and other information - all without ever leaving the context of your dedicated area. Just like the community navigation, this can be customized to show just the items which are important to your group.
The robust permission model and auditing that IGLOO is known-for is also extended to Group Spaces. This makes it easy to ensure that your team or project information is contained to only those with appropriate permissions.
While providing these collaboration areas - basically a mini-community, within your community - we have also worked to ensure that they are fully integrated into our platform so that content, ideas and innovations can bubble up or be shared in the community to facilitate enterprise collaboration.
I've been able to see these Group Spaces in action, and have had the pleasure of showing them to some our customers and partners - and I can tell you that the reaction has been great! Everyone is very excited to see how this will transform the way you are able to use your IGLOO community.

More Search Engine Optimization. In our last release we provided a powerful tool to begin search engine optimization for Pages on public sites. This release we extend this functionality to virtually all objects in the community. You can now provide important SEO information for every blog, document, image, event, wiki page and more. This way, if you are leveraging any of these important social features on your public website, you can use them to drive even more traffic to your site.
Share on Twitter. 'Tweeting' is not just for the birds any more! Over the last year Twitter's members and usage has increased dramatically (source). Today it is one of the most popular sites for social networking and sharing content. To help you extend your reach and allow your members to share your community's content on popular social networking sites, we have added Twitter to the list of social media sharing links you can enable for your community.
