Build your community by defining the site's page and navigational structure.
Navigation is an important part of your community and requires thought and planning. It is recommended that you refer to Community Building 101 or suggestions on how to create a site map. Once you determine your site map it is very simple for you to implement.
To get your desired list you can:
Add Item - Enter the name and click 'Create Item'
Change order - Using the Order column, arrange your navigation as desired.
Action Button - By clicking on the Action Button , you have the following options:
Set as Homepage - This will make the folder the home page for the website.
Hide - You have the option to hide the folder from the main navigation. This does not change the permissions of the folder it only removes it from main navigation. You can link to the folder elsewhere in your site if desired.
Delete - This will delete the folder; removing it from the main navigation. The following rules apply when deleting items:
- When you delete a folder, all items inside the folder are deleted.
- You cannot delete a folder if you do not have full permissions for the items in the folder.
- Deleted items that are removed from myIGLOO or a community and cannot be restored.
To delete an item, click the item's Action icon, and then choose Delete. In the Confirmation dialog box, click the OK button
Tips and Tricks
In "Navigation" There is an optional "Home" page available. By default it is hidden and not the actual home page. You can make it the homepage by clicking the action button and then clicking Set as Homepage.
If you do not want to use one of the default Igloo features (such as Blogs, forums, calendar, etc) you can choose to hide it from the "Navigation" page. This will make remove it from the main menu.
