HTML Widget (View access)

This community feature allows for page creators to specify on a HTML Widget if it will be seen on the published page by a particular user type. The configurable settings for this widget are "Everyone", "Non-Members Only" or "Members Only".

"Everyone" will display the HTML Widget on the page regardless of the users logged in state. "Non-Members only" will show the widget on the page when a user is not logged in, removing it once logged in. Finally "Members Only" will not show the HTML Widget on the page unless you are a member of the community and logged in.

  • Which access level should you select?: When selecting items from the drop down you should pick your choice based on your audience for the content in the HTML Widget.
    • To provide content to non-members which is not required by existing members, "Non-Members Only" would be the correct selection.
    • To provide content to members of your community only selecting "Members Only" would be the correct selection.
    • To provide content to everyone who views the page leaving the default selection of "Everyone" would be the correct choice.
