Gallery
An online collection of images posted by community members or administrators. The gallery allows users to organize pictures into albums. Community Administrators can set permission levels for a gallery or album and can choose to hide certain albums from view. This allows them to keep certain important albums (such as theme related albums) safe from unwanted editing. As with other community pages, you can add custom content to the gallery and album pages.
You can also view the images in an album as a slideshow, you can take the embed code from this slideshow and use the embed media button to insert it onto other pages.
To embed media from an Album is a few simple steps:
- Open the Album you want to embed on a page and click on the "Launch Slideshow" icon
- A new tab will open. In the lower right hand corner, you will find the slideshow controls and an arrow.
- Clicking on the arrow will reveal the embed code.
- Copy the embed code to your clipboard using the "Copy to Clipboard" shortcut or CTRL+C
- Locate the page you want to insert the slideshow on and open the editor.
- Click on the " Insert/Edit Embedded Media" icon
- A pop up window will appear - paste the embed code (from step 4) into the "Code Block" field.
- The slideshow appears in the editor as a beige box, once you save your work the embedded slideshow will begin to function.
- You can now click on the box and drag the corners to adjust size.
