Folders
A hierarchically organized storage container that holds items such as documents and subfolders. Members with appropriate permissions can add content (text, images, etc) to the folder by clicking Edit Page.
To add files or folders to a folder users can click the add file or add folder buttons. Users can also change the layout of the folders by clicking the layout buttons on the left of the page. Manage Items allows users to delete folders and files in groups.
When uploading files users can select multiple files to upload and edit their details after they have uploaded. They can also select to add more files. When users have uploaded all the files they want to click done and they will see the files have been uploaded.
Tips and Tricks
You can change the display mode for folder and files by clicking the button located on the right side of the screen.
Attention
Older communities use The existing Folder structure as their main pages. This means that all customers who are using Folders to edit/display their community content (i.e. public website) can continue to do so (html option will still be available), but they can no longer add any new top level pages using community Folders. They will need to create new community pages using the new Page framework.
Administrators will be able to delete all root level folders except the last one. This is because eventually the last root level "Folder" will be transformed into a full community application, like blogs, forums, or calendar.
