Summary:

These guidelines tie in to the Theme Configuration Project whereby admins will be able to customize the background of their community theme. Background is defined as the canvas that surrounds the community application.

Background Guidelines:

1. All backgrounds should be technically feasible though w3c compliant background styles applied only to the body tag (see HTML examples).
2. All backgrounds should be designed for 1024x768 screen resolutions but should scale elegantly to any larger resolutions (see HTML examples).  As a rule of thumb background images should be less than 200kb in size.
3. All backgrounds should be individually designed, no similar backgrounds with different colour variations.
