Browsing Blogs

Select Blogs when It is highlighted in blue.

 
From the Blogs landing page users can browse blogs by:
•    Recently Added - lists the most recently added articles
•    Recently Discussed - lists articles with the most recent comments
•    Channel - lists the blog channels alphabetically
* Sections with new data will be highlighted in bold font, providing the user with a path to follow to new content.

View Recently Added

Recently added articles are listed with the most recently added articles at the top (like the community's blog pulse) with the following information:

•     Profile image or placeholder (of article author)
•     Blog article title
•     Author's name
•     Published date  

View Recently Discussed

Recently discussed articles are listed with the most recent comments at the top (like the community's blog pulse) with the following information:

• Profile image or placeholder (of comment author)
• Blog article title
• Author's name (of comment)
• Snippet of comment
• Commented date

 

View By Channel

Channels can be browsed by scrolling and can be opened to display the associated article listing. Note: Channels cannot be created from the app, the organization and management of blogs must be done at the community level.

Viewing Articles

Articles display:

• Article title
• Author's name - which is hyperlinked to their profile
• Summary (if available)
• Article body content
• Comments - listed from oldest to newest (if enabled)
• Add comment button (if enabled)

Loading Data

When the device is loading data - the black loading bar on the bottom of the screen will progress with a grey bar, as well as show movement with the three gradient dots on the right hand side.

Article loaded.

 

Commenting an article

To comment a blog article, click on "Add Comment" button.

 
The comment modal box is a fixed size; however the text field expands when data is entered.

 
If you enter a really long comment, you may need to scroll to access the Add Comment button.

 
Now click on "Add Comment".
 

This is it.  Commentary added.

 

Adding a Blog Article

Step 1: Select one of the views (Recently added, Recently Discussed or By Channel).

 
Step 2: Click on the Blackberry Menu Key button  to open the menu.

 
Step 3: Select "Add Article".
 



Step 4: Select the Channel (Chnl) you want your article added. Choose the Title and Summary (Sum). Type the article body content, Set the Comments as enable, closed or disabled and click on the "Add Article" button.

 
Step 5: Wait few seconds the message "Adding article…" will disappear and …

 
… You article is added.


 
Done.
