Email Alerts within IGLOO
Subscriptions and Following
When you subscribe to a community object (folder, gallery, blog, forum discussion, etc.), you are informed of any updates via email. You can set it to alert you immediately, daily, weekly or monthly. Administrators of a community have the ability to subscribe users to content they wish their community to receive. To do this select Subscriptions from the action button drop down.
Broadcasts and Messages
When you send a user a message within your IGLOO community that message will be replicated and sent to the user via email. The same happens for all broadcasts sent by members and administrators. You can turn off your message notifications in your Messages area of your profile (Click on your name in the user bar and select messages, at the bottom of your inbox is the toggle)
Other Notifications
You may also receive emails from IGLOO if you are a moderator of a channel when something is submitted for moderation.
When you are added as a collaborator on a draft. Also subsequently when the piece is published.
When an admin adds you to a group or changes your permissions.
RSS
You can also subscribe to a blog using an RSS feed. You can choose from Live Bookmarks, Blog lines, My Yahoo, Google, or another application you may be using. To use an RSS feed, click on the button at the bottom of the page, this will bring up the RSS feed details on public pages only. If your page is set to private there will not be an RSS feed available for security.
