Referencing uploaded .SWF Flash media files within HTML widget

I have uploaded a .swf flash media file into a document folder, but cannot reference it from within an HTML widget through the media embedding function.  I can enter in the file URL as it has been created once the file is uploaded to a document folder, but the flash media does not play when the page is saved.   What I can do is upload the .swf file to another site through FTP and then reference that file through the media embedding function, resulting in the flash media working just fine.  This would be the way to embed a YouTube video that is not hosted on the Igloo site.   It seems that the problem stems from either the upload process to a document folder or in referencing the file itself with the full path to the .swf file.

Any guidance would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Hello Neil,
When referencing a file uploaded to an Igloo community you will notice the download URL has a "=1" at the end, when you select this link it triggers a browser to download the file. When you would like to reference a file in a HTML widget as you do, you need to change the URL to be "=0" instead of "=1"

My recommendation is to view the file in the documents section of your community. Where you see the download button right click with your mouse and copy the link location. This is the link which will end in "=1", use this link in the HTML widget by selecting the embed media button as you have been, but with the new ending of "=0" in your URL.

How would you upload a flash file with multiple supporting files etc.? Or must it be a single flash file?
