Is it possible to make someone a group member but not give them access to the wider private member site? I know public is public - anyone can see this, but it it possible to confine a person to one group and one group only?

I know it's possible to select page access for certain groups, but it seems awkward on a large site with many groups to manually set access to pages individually.
