Comments about templates
I have a couple of comments and suggestions about solution templates:
1. When creating a new community, a user has the option to use a solution template. However, I have found it hard to find information about the structure of these templates. There are some screen shots, but each time I have to search for them. The best way to find out how a template is structured is to create a site using one. The problem is that it is impossible to change the template after the site is created. This is not clearly documented.
2. A big market for communities is nonprofit organizations, clubs, etc. Many of your showcase sites are organizations like this. However, there is no solution template for this.

Our pre-configured business templates give you a head start. Each template is dynamic and you can quickly tweak it to fit your needs. During the community creation process, you will be asked to select the solution template that best fits your needs.

Hello Ralph,
There are two locations where more information related to templates can be found. The first is when you are selecting your template, along the right side of the page is a list of templates with descriptions. Also as you mentioned there is a page which features descriptions and screenshots. Templates are simply a specific layout choice, for instance if you chose a customer care template the default layout in your top navigation would have home page, wiki then library and so on. This is just our recommendation for a customer care community, you can at any time re-order these to fit what you believe the best layout to be. The platform we offer for creating your community is incredibly flexible and can be transformed at anytime using the control panel.
Thank you for your suggestion of a nonprofit template, I will submit it on your behalf.
