Question

How do I permission a group to see some things and not others?

I'm trying to work out how to create extranet functionality that will require a defined group ('Group A') to be able to see only some of the community content.  I might also want only Group A to be able to see certain other content.  As members of Group A will also be Members of the community then the permissioning I have set up so far will allow them access to everything.  I'm thinking I could create two groups, Group A and Group B and put everyone into one or the other, then delete 'Everyone' (Members) from all areas and replace with Group A and Group B accordingly.  This looks however as if it may be a lot of work.  Will it work, and is there a better/easier way, please?

Hello Simon, This is the best way to do this. We just pushed a patch that will allow you to do this as well. There was a bug with the new permissions system that made this difficult to do.
Moving forward what you have suggested is a best practice.
