Is there a way to add sub-channels to already existing blog channels?

Anurag, the short answer is no. But could you elaborate on your use case please? Is this a GroupSpace-level or Top-level issue?

Hi Ivan, it is a top-level blog issue. We have a few community blog channels based on substantive research fields. We need to add a blog at this level, which is essentially based on a sub-category of one of the existing channels, and so logically should be a sub-channel to it. We basically need some way of filtering by that sub-category, so that we can show just the sub-category articles seperately, through a blog widget on a project page.

I see... The only thing I could recommend at this point is to use a GroupSpace for each research field, within which you would be able to create a blog channel for each of the projects. I do not see how this can be accomplished without GroupSpaces, unless you're willing to prefix each project channel with a research field name:

  • Field A - Project A
  • Field A - Project B
  • Field A - Project C
  • Field B - Project A
  • Field B - Project B

I think I have a similar requirement, where I want to be able to filter different blog categories, within a group-space. I want to add a page for a sub area of focus within the team group-space and only display the blog news for that area of focus on the new page, within the group-space.

I thought I would use a blog channel but when I add a blog channel to a group-space blog I only see one blog channel per group-space, and I don't see anywhere to add a channel in the context of the group-space.

I see more than one blog channel, and the ability to add channels, for the top level community blog. Am I missing something?
Is there a way to add blog channels to a group space?

If I could add a blog channel within a group space it would allow me to filter blog articles by area of focus on different pages.

For now we are using a prefix in the blog article title to distinguish news by area of focus, but they all show up in the blog widget and I don't see any way to filter them.

Blogs are an ideal tool for stimulating cross-team discussions, sharing expertise and unlocking new ideas. Think of a blog as an online editorial or article that expresses an author's opinion, observations or expertise on specific topics, events or activities. Members within an online community can create their own blog on a specific topic and/or comment and pose questions to other bloggers within the community.
