Server Maintenance – November 26

IGLOO will be performing planned server maintenance on Saturday, November 26, 2011 from 10 AM to 2 PM ET.

In October of this year, IGLOO achieved SAS70 Type I compliance, meaning our internal controls were audited by a third-party firm. This is above and beyond our data center security practices which are PCI DSS, SAS70 and CICA 5970 (Type II) certified.

In order to fulfill our obligations under our Type I certification, we will be conducting planned server maintenance and testing on Saturday, November 26, 2011. This is designed to improve our availability for all users.   

  • Downtime: 4 hours
  • Time: 10 AM to 2 PM ET

Thanks for this note.

Given that some of our users are using this software as a Live Support Tool, perhaps consider keeping downtime for the wee hours of the morning?

Just a thought.

Unfortunately due to the delicate nature of the operation we need most of our staff to be available and alert at this time should something not go as expected. Also as a preventative measure we want 3rd party support from our hosting provider and hardware providers to be readily available in the unlikely event something where not to go as planned. While the chances of an problem occurring are very slim we would like to keep that chance as small as possible.
