On Friday March 6, 2009 we were notified that Yahoo has blocked our system generated emails due to volume of emails sent in the month of February (including invitations). This temporary situation affects all email accounts that contain Yahoo and Rogers domain.
What happens to the emails?
Yahoo is blocking them and they are not being delivered.
What do I need to do?
Nothing, IGLOO will resend all system generated emails (invitations, notifications, messages, etc).
Is there a workaround available for invitations?
You have two choices:
- Send the invitation to an alternate email address and once the new member logs in they can change their email address to their Yahoo or Rogers email account. Details: Login> click on name to access account> click Edit Profile> click Login Settings> change your email address.
- Wait until this issue is resolved to send invitations containing Yahoo or Rogers domains.
What are the next steps for IGLOO?
Once we were notified we followed up with the requested documentation and have been contacting Yahoo daily. We are working with them to get this resolved ASAP. This article will be updated as new information becomes available.

Update:
IGLOO is completing every online form and providing every detail asked for by Yahoo but this issue still remains unresolved. This remains high priority and we hope it will be resolved soon.

Update:
Our logs show that emails that contain Yahoo and Rogers as the domain are now BEING DELIVERED! We have not had any official confirmation from Yahoo (who controls Rogers email) that we are officially off the grey list so we still monitoring this situation closely.
We will begin re-sending any emails that were not delivered in small increments because we don't want to flood Yahoo (Rogers) and get blocked again.

Has Yahoo given us the clear yet?
Yahoo has not given us any official communication to indicate that we have officially been removed from their greylist. However, since we never officially notified that we were ON the greylist this is not surprising.
At this point all we can do is monitor all communications and identify patterns. We do monitor all undelivered emails on a daily basis which allows us to discover such patterns and begin taking necessary steps.
Stephanie - Let me know if this addresses your question.
